The three walking projects in this section are from 2010 and 2011, a period during which my work moved out of the studio and gallery, and into public spaces and landscapes.
In August 2010 I presented an art project in the form of a workshop entitled Walking Alone and Together at the summer school for the international cultural change organization Cultura21, in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. The project incorporated hand-drawn escape maps that I made (used as blindfolds), walking sticks, movement and voice in an exploration of connection and cooperation. A video excerpt can be seen here.

In August 2010 I and several others accompanied artist Eryn Foster on her New Canadian Pilgrimages project Each of your Five Fingers Represents 15 Minutes of Time, a six-day group walk from Sackville, New Brunswick to Fundy National Park. We travelled 125 kilometers on foot along secondary roads, logging trails, sidewalks, and the historic Dobson Trail.

Get Over It is a trilogy of small group walks that probe the geographic, socio-economic and gender divides in the city where I live. Each walk incorporated images and texts, using a small hand-held projector and smartphone.
