Stumps: an illuminated performance/walk, was created in conjunction with children, teachers and parents from the Point Pleasant Child Care Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It was presented as part of a performance series in Point Pleasant Park, organized by Eyelevel Gallery in June 2010. During daily excursions in the park, participants observed flora, fauna, weather and natural features of the park, and then created drawings, stories, sounds and movements based on their observations.

The Writing/Walking Sticks artwork employs a set of 26 custom made walking sticks, each one fitted with a small self-inking stamp mechanism on the bottom, in public walking activities. Each stamp bears a different letter of the English alphabet and leaves a water-soluble inked impression on the ground. Alone or working in a group, it is possible to create a temporary textual trail while walking with the sticks.
